As much as you need to brush your teeth to avoid cavities and other gum diseases. A dog is similar to a human in that their teeth need to be brushed periodically. In order to keep your dog healthy, experts recommend that a dog's teeth should be brushed at least twice a week. Use a toothpaste that is specially formulated for dogs. This toothpaste should be safe for dogs to swallow since they cannot rinse and spit after brushing.
